Equipment

At Squidix, we take pride in our equipment and network. We use only the highest quality hardware components, with the most reliable and secure software to keep our servers running smoothly.

Software

We use the latest version of the CentOS Linux operating system, along with the powerful cPanel control panel. Our servers are monitored 24/7 with live system administrators available to respond to any issues, and our custom SquidMon monitoring system uses advanced monitoring and notification techniques to ensure near immediate response.

We also use CloudLinux on all of our servers. This helps us maintain a stable operating environment for our shared sites, by preventing any one account from using resources in a way that may degrade performance for others. And the K-Splice rebootless upgrade mechanism allows us to apply important security updates immediately with zero downtime.

Hardware

We use only top notch hardware, primarily Dell and SuperMicro systems. Our equipment is all server grade, we do not use desktop components. We use Intel Xeon or AMD Opteron CPUs, enterprise hard drives, and ECC RAM.

Our systems all use RAID for maximum speed and reliability. We store daily and monthly offsite backups not only on local servers, but also in a secondary location apart from our primary facility, so your data is always protected.
