Redundant DNSHere at Squidix, we take pride in our reliability. That's why we maintain geographically redundant DNS servers for each one of our shared hosting servers. When a server loses power or otherwise becomes inaccessible, it is no longer able to process incoming email and other requests. Many shared hosts compound this problem by storing customer's DNS information only on their primary hosting server, creating a single point of failure. With redundant DNS, there is a failover DNS server available to take over in case of failure by the primary server. This redundant DNS design will assure that the sending machine can determine the IP address of the destination server, which will allow it to queue email and other data for later delivery, rather than fail completely.
